Maison La Charité

In the plaza of Saint Pierre near the top of the town, is an 12th century stone building housing six apartments. This is Maison La Charité, a four story medieval structure with an 85 step stone tower and two huge wine cellars.
The history of this building dates back to before Joan of Arc invaded this town.

This maison is currently under extensive renovations. Each suite is being authentically restored reflecting a period in history. As artisans, we see the importance of keeping original materials and cherish the many treasures that we have unearthed. Original terra-cotta floors, wood floors, stone walls, fireplaces and oak beams are all being painstakingly brought back to life. Whenever something needs to be replaced, we scour the countryside looking for the exact piece.

Because we are passionate about what we do and want your stay to be enjoyable, each suite will be created with all of the modern conveniences and luxuries without compromising character and charm.
The units will all have a queen-size (200cmX165cm) bed and a sofa-bed. Gourmet kitchens with a deluxe range, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwave, washer and dryer. Large showers and or bath tubs. All of the remaining furnishings will be vintages pieces reflecting the beauty and craftsman-ship of the area.
Each apartment will have its own balcony or patio. There is also a large terrace plus a deck on the tower to enjoy the views of the valley and town. Shares will be available in the near future.
